game discussion
Hello, and welcome to our first GAME DISCUSSION post!
Do you have a game that you want to run? Do you have an idea but no idea how to run it and want to make other people figure it out? Do you want to corun? Do you want to throw out ideas even if you don't have an Echo because you want to see an Echo run it?
Then this post is for you! Post your game ideas, no matter how fleshed out they may be (or if they're not at all and you only have a vague idea) and help each other work out games that you would like to see happen!

- There's this party game called The resistance I think could easily be adaptable to a game. I'm not any good at numbers, so I can't do it.
- An old-school RPG style exploradora could be fun! Send people on a dumb quest across the generic lands of Grindia! “Your exits are north, south, east, and west. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.”
- A game based off the Loveless series, where characters are paired off. They get a special name describing their partnership (Loveless, Fearless, Suckless), have cat ears/tail if they're virgins, and engage in wordplay battles. To borrow from another game, here's a FAQ covering the fight/sacrifice relationship, how the fighting works, etc. It places two characters in an intense partnership where working together is obligatory, not necessarily even from the same team, and it's a combat game without having to worry about how strong your kung-fu is.

- LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE, GUTS, Double Dare, etc. Old Nickelodeon gameshows! I'm sure there's a good way to turn this stuff into a game.
- LIFEBOATS
- The Game of Life
- OPERATION (non-trauma, trauma would be horrible omg)
- Mousetrap, Clue, Guess Who, board games like that!! MAYBE EVEN JUMANJI.

2. I'd love to see Jeopardy played somehow, some way, though that might have to be largely through IRC hrmmmm
or MAYBE MAYBE is it uh. that gameshow where you have to guess all of the answers to a question like "top 10 things mothers hate about christmas" -- family feud right?
3. I still really want to do a tug of war against another team game :|a if someone has any ideas of how to make that happen please let me know
4. I really want to run another strings-type game a la decollage sometime, if someone would like to co-run/help me plan because I am a trauma baby and won't have my first trauma game in aather until July. . .!
5. TELEPHONE. Sort of like the picture/action game -- which i'm not sure what it's called, but someone writes a phrase and another team has to draw a picture to match it, then the next team writes a different phrase to describe the picture and we see where it goes. I am pretty sure i will run this one at some point, because it's silly and cute.
6. APPLES TO APPLES.

also re: the tug of war, maybe it could be a sort of statistics/sacrifices game? BY SACRIFICES I MEAN LIKE you have to confess secrets to boost points or you have to do X activity to boost your strength or something, idk you're in a giant robot that's tugging the rope or something. i don't know.
i really like the idea of telephone!!! i look forward to it gosh.

2. Another thing is Mario Party, which I actually do have some ideas for but nothing real solid at all so suggestions would be cool!

You could probably pit two teams against each other, one side to be defense, one side to be prosecution, and empress (and/or other NPCs) oversees and mediates the discussion. If you really want it to be true to form, you can have some ridiculous AA-style case set up and whatever team gets to the truth first wins or just whoever can sway the judge (maybe a jury of echoes or something idek)

... unless! there was a very condensed one day version in aather, maybe that could work out better than spanning days just due to our lack of numbers? :|a six teams makes those games a little hard (unfortunately).

-hostage trauma game where you have to hurt-up-to kill the other team's hostage in order to save yours/possibly yourself from pain!! The more damage you inflict on the hostage, the more the certainty that yours will be saved. Refusing to hurt a hostage will mean more damage on your team's hostage and possibly yourself.
-the hungry games. Come on it'd be hilarious. Except instead of sesame street teams have to eat their way through weird foods to win.
-A vague power rangers type game where the teammates have to pick animal robots and then combine robots and attacks and to fight something.
-A game based in the same vein as witches in Madoka Magica - as in, one person from each team designs a witch, along with area, familiars, etc, based on what they've remembered and their experiences in Kyr. The witches would be mixed up, with each team facing another team's witch, and they either have to fight the witch or figure out who it is and verbally reason with/reach out to/appeal them them somehow
