Welcome to the first week of serious polls! This week, our question is going to be this:

What does your character think of the system?

SOMEONE'S NOT TELLING US THE WHOLE AND HONEST TRUTH OR ELSE THIS SYSTEM IS JUST A BUFFER AND NOT AN ACTUAL REAL SOLUTION

Technic's neutral and incredibly uneasy, though he doesn't voice it much unless necessary (or drunk). He knows they can't make much of an informed decision with the little amounts of information they have been getting, but the fact that information is so scarce is, in and of itself, concerning. They don't know how their souls were shattered or what the purpose of playing these games is outside one Echo's vague explanation, which Technic has a hard time believing upfront. The general optimism "don't worry about it" attitude that a lot of the other people in the castle have kind of rubs him the wrong way somedays, too - something in his gut tells him there should be more to this. Something doesn't feel right. :(

tl;dr he needs more info and other people need to be smarter

Commandant Lion finds the system to be a necessary evil from the knowledge he has now. Something was destroying ALL OF EXISTENCE and the purpose of this system is to help rebuild it, and the Queen put in some clauses to minimize potential harm and abuses. There are definitely things about it that seem suspect, but he has no reason to doubt the Queen and as far as he knows she's acting to the best of her ability in a rather extreme situation. It may still be an awful system, but it seems better than the presented alternative.

Snake thinks that they're not being told the whole truth, but at least some of them are in it for the sake of helping others... he can't mesh together the kill games with entities that want to help.

Hydra is neutral/neutral with some positivity, for the most part. She's the sort to cling to whatever silver lining she can find, so she's grateful for a lot of what the system gives them. It helps, too, that the majority of games are fun....or at least harmless, which makes it even easier for her (a character that already has a lot of bend) to go with the flow and be satisfied enough to get by.

On a more pragmatic note, she also realizes that it's not as though she (or anyone else that she's talked to, that is) can think of a better or different way to get everyone's worlds/souls restored. Not just yet, anyway, given the lack of information that would be crucial to such a venture. Which is definitely a problem, for many reasons and on many levels! But it's also a problem that they can't easily or quickly fixed, she believes. Exploring Kyriakos itself has only yielded so much, and it's not as though they can shake Echoes until information falls out. The state of relative powerlessness that everyone's in is something she just quietly accepts and tries to make the best of, because (to her) doing so is the best available option that they know of.

While she supports trying to break trauma games when possible, she is incredibly wary of trying to break the overall system at this point in time when they have nothing to replace it with. It's been proven that, if nothing else, they are regaining memories and skills when they win shards. She doesn't want to sacrifice that guaranteed reward unless it was demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that doing so would be the most sensible solution, that the tradeoff would be worth it, and this trumphs her own negative feelings about trauma games/certain Echoes.
