And now for week two of our serious polls!

How does your character feel about the state of their homeworld?

The news was kind of overwhelming at first, because being told the world is destroyed and putting the pieces back together is up to her is kind of a lot of responsibility she never asked for.

Then she got her first sig neg back and and she's pretty certain she likes things better this way, because if the world is going to screw her over, yeah, there are choice things the world can go do with itself.

A noble and generous person, Isabela.

Technic is existing in a state of denial half the time, kind of in lines with how he deals with the memory situation in general. Most of the time he doesn't try to dwell on it, since he doesn't know all the facts or even if the stories and memories he's receiving are completely true.

Every once in a while, though, it'll hit him that the world he remembers is thought to be torn apart into a million pieces along with every good memory that he holds which just makes him brood off in a corner of the library for a while.

He gets to be the hero instead of the hero's support, so that's all he thinks about anymore.

Even if his hero isn't alive in it, after all the effort he put in to save it again and again.

It's nice Snake* is here and all, not like it makes him cry internally while smiling or anything.

*It gets worse.

Shuu is somewhat concerned, in the sense that he currently thinks he had a lot of unfinished business that needed finishing and he's not sure what he's supposed to do without a world to finish that business in.

In a way he's focusing on "restore world" as a goal because he knows he has things he was working on in that world and he doesn't know what he'd do without "restore world" as his endgame... Like, if he didn't want to restore his world, where would be go??? Might as well work on getting a place to go back to.

So, sort of practical concern, currently not too much emotion except as related to specific individuals of interest to him.

Crane is pretty neutral! Mainly, because she's still not convinced that their worlds are indeed destroyed and that a single person regaining all of their memories/"pieces of their soul" could somehow fix it. It just sounds too far-fetched to her!

So she doesn't really think about it, for the most part, and is just focused on getting back memories and surviving and all.

Hydra is super sad that her world is destroyed, because so far all she remembers about it is that her family (whom she loves very much!!) and some kind of organization (that she figures is Important with a Good Cause if she joined it) exist in it. Plus the bajillion other people that must have lived there.

But she manages not to dwell on it too much, because what would that accomplish? She's doing what she's supposed to do, she believes, by being here and winning games. If she just focuses on that, the here and now of her situation, it makes the burden of restoring her world/her soul much easier to bear. Plus, she's not alone!

Clover tries very hard not to think about it too much. There's nothing she can do about it except keeping playing in the games to hope she can restore it.

. . . until she remembers what her world is really like. Then that might change.

Star has just been feeling more and more lately that she shouldn't be here. Whoever decided she should be one to survive instead of Poochy Fluffers (aka: Phoenix Wright) was just wrong to pick her and he (or anyone else) would be much better at this stuff than she is!!

Having that said, since she has no one except for possibly Poochy Fluffers in her memories, and her most significant memory was her in jail for her sister's murder while everyone thought she was guilty and no one would defend her, she's not really that eager to save it. Not that she won't try - she still wants to save the world and will sill try! But she's not that invested in the world itself or the people, past a general wanting to save them and because it's the Right Thing To Do. She does want to save Poochy Fluffers a lot though.

It's really depressing, especially in Reyson's case because > his people died and he was all alone > then he found his sister > then his world died and he was all alone again :( He tries not to think about it very hard and sometimes he clings to the way his world functions because it's all he has left.

Charles would bring back his world on principle. He doesn't feel particularly close to it yet but no one deserves that. It doesn't depress him personally as much as it does Reyson.

Bellatrix doesn't care about her personal experience; reviving her Earth became her ultimate goal that she'd strive for regardless of whether the people deserved it or not. and she's seen the worst sort of shit—all her memories involve being a government agent with the express purpose of killing every scumbag that can't be punished by the law. and she's been fucked over so badly and all her family is dead, etc, but she's got comrades and she's gonna fucking bring the world back for all those billions of lives even though millions of them are awful, and then she's going to kill those millions.

she doesn't particularly care that it'll be a slow process—she'd like it not to be but she's got the fucking patience, this is an entire fucking world here, and she's gonna build it back. it gets lonely knowing none of her comrades are here and they're all in stasis/lost in the void but she's going to shounen on and busy herself with all the things, it's comforting that way.

flame cries every night knowing that all of his family and friends are dead and it's pretty bad, dark has to deal with all that shit. but he tries to keep himself pretty. . . .not sad-looking in the daylight hours, so only dark has to deal with it. poor, poor dark.
