Heart Game Discussion
Hello Kyriakos! We know that there are a lot of new players to Heart Games, so this discussion post is so that everyone can help each other get the hang of it, whether you're running a heart in this round or not! If you have any questions, ask them here! Help each other! Hearts can seem somewhat complicated until you get the hang of them, so we want to do our best to make sure everyone is going to be as comfortable as possible with this style of game.
Heart Games are a very cool thing that are specifically designed for your character, and for hearts being run now and in the future, or even if you just want to do some spelunking, we hope this post will help! ♥

- Will there be a set amount of players to each heart, and is it only limited to team members?
- Will what they can and can't interact with be limited? As in, will that be up to the gamerunner to decide?
- As far as people entering hearts, how will they change things? I'm just thinking back to Aather's "boosters", so will there be items like that, or will it be more based on the interactions that they manage to have?
- If a character is to be injured or die in a heart, what happens?

- Yeah, generally the runner decides what the spelunkers can interact with. So if you don't want someone to mess with a character's trust issues, then you can make that part of the heart off-limits/protected/etc
- If we're doing boosters, then that can certainly work to change things! Otherwise it is up to interactions that players have in the heart to change things. For example, let's say that in Heiji's heart, his relationships are stored in two filing cabinets: one for platonic and one for romantic feelings. If someone moves a character x's file from platonic to romantic, then Heiji can find himself with a crush on x. Another example: if Heiji is distrustful of Bob, but Bob has a really positive conversation with the representation of Heiji's trust in his heart, then maybe after the heart game, Heiji will be more trusting of Bob.
- I don't know how they're going to want to handle that, but typically if you get injured or die in the heart, unless there's a system in place in the heart itself (ie if the heart has auto-revives or something) then it's like if they get injured or die in a regular game and need to be healed/revived in endgame

Usually most Heart runners will allow for all kinds of CR to hit it up but that largely depends on the Runner! ;w;/ I'm sorry we can't say for sure, since this sort of thing will depend entirely on the people running the Hearts.
2) The person running the Heart will decide! It's up to them because it's their heart, and therefore full of symbolism important to their character.
3) There aren't going to be any boosters in this round, though that's not to say they won't appear in any potential later rounds of heart games. Generally, interacting with things or putting them in different places or even just leaving notes or items in places (if characters bring items with them) could change things, but what changes and how it changes is up to the person running the Heart.
4) There are two different things that can happen! Either the Heart has a built in mechanism to revive people or heal them, or the Echo that's running will provide it.

Will the characters know that their interactions will change their comrades (ie. will the echo be explaining, even if it is vague-sih normal echo explaining), or will they be figuring it out the hard way?

IF OFF TEAM CR IS ALLOWED, for people who have multiple CR up, will unscored runs be allowed like Aather does?

We wouldn't have them both be unscored as long as they're two different characters, but when signups go up please ask the person running the game.

As I've figured it, it's kind of like mind-diving, but physical... interaction with whatever things you encounter will affect the running character's personality/mind? And we're allowed to have... pretty much anything going on if we want to make larger changes or what...not...
lmfao sob I'm sorry if I ask completely obvious questions, but I don't know why I feel so confused about all of this.

And yes, you're correct on all of that.
