Claiming two games! One for Delriza on March 26th, and one for Nafuna on April 2nd! Both have tentative start times, but for now I'll aim for a 3 PM PST mingle for both. More info will be available in March!

Hello hello!

As some of you may or may not remember, back in October there was discussion of hosting a plot-relevant mimic hunt. Long story short, for reasons yet to be revealed to us, mimic blood is somehow part of the puzzle to unraveling the mysteries pertaining to Nyssa. Which means we need to get a "donation," willing or otherwise, from a very deadly creature.

Originally, we had discussed trying to organize a large exploradora run in November--but a lot of plot crucial events and trauma games popped up, and there just really was no time to contemplate it until now. With the return of No-Games Weeks every month, however, we have a golden opportunity to return to this.

WHAT TO DO?

This entry is to serve both as a tentative sign up and information collection. Even if you signed up before, please sign up again as we need new/additional information. If you have not been in the discussion prior to now, and especially if you've had little to no involvement in plot until now, please feel free to sign up!

In order to sign up, I need the following information from you:
  1. Your name & preferred plurk contact for future private planning
  2. which character(s) you plan on involving
  3. what practical skills your character offers (support? fighting? healing? magic offense/magic defense? medical prowess? tracking / hunting?)
  4. a date preference between February 14-19, February 28-March 4, or March 13-19 (including any dates you absolutely cannot make during those ranges) for a run edit:and general preferred times / hour ranges! (I'm not sure if we'll end up using only one or two or all three. :|;;; just trying to get a general consensus at this point.)
  5. your time zone

There is not currently a cap for number of participants. If there get to be too many to feasibly run as a single group, we may have to have separate searches or runs (in which case, we may have to ask for preferred groups, but we will cross that bridge if we reach it). Once we've determined who would like to participate, we will discuss where the characters will be searching and reach out to the mods to coordinate for a runner (or runners, if necessary).

Please be aware: the mimic is apparently exceptionally deadly and clever with a five star difficulty on the settings page. The mods have specifically stated in previous communications that it is expected to be fought MMO raid style, and a party of at least seven high-powered characters is necessary to take it down. At the bare minimum of seven, characters are still likely to sustain injuries, some of which would likely be severe. A larger party is more likely to be able to defeat the mimic with less trouble, but I cannot guarantee your character(s) or others your character cares about may not sustain damage in a fight with it or any other dangerous, non-mimic creature(s) which may be encountered during the exploradora.

If you have any questions or other miscellany comments, feel free to respond below and I'll get back to you!

Hello Kyriakos!

PSA: We ask that you please be patient with us over the weekend into the following week! Both mods are/will be in varying states of MIA, so mod responses will likely not come until next week. Eli and Cass both thank you for understanding!

◉ A summary of the recent Nyssa Plot can be found here!

◉ Units will be holding a game on Saturday, January 16th with a mingle starting Friday night at 11PM CST.

◉ Nene will be holding a game on Wednesday, January 20th!

Sign-ups for January’s trauma game are up! They will close on January 21st.

◉ Team and Cat applications are OPEN!

◉ We now have a page for our AC GUIDELINES! It's the same thing we post every month, as well as what's found in the rules, but we've given it it's own page for easy review!

◉ We've also given HIATUSES their own page! Please use this from now on when declaring a hiatus. The old page will be used for drops only.

Echoes/Game runners: we have a few requests and reminders for you:

- When claiming games, please leave at least two OOC days in between games. We’ve been lax with this in the past, but with the pace of the game increasing, we’re going to be a little stricter in regards to this rule.

- Also, please keep it to two games per week - preferably one during the week, and one during the weekend.

- When you claim a game on the calendar, please use the following format to make it easier for people to know when your game will take place: [game] ECHO NAME, time start, timezone. If your game has a mingle, please use that as the start time! If you’re claiming a game ahead of time and are unsure as to when you plan to start the game, that’s fine - just remember to go back and edit it once you decide.

- Please remember to update the win records doc after your games!

- And finally, we’d like to request that, should you choose to allow winners to pick their own memories, that you also offer to choose memories for players who request it! We’ve had a few people mention that they miss the RNG aspect of winning.

◉ We’d like to ask that if you have a question, that you e-mail the mods rather than asking on plurk or other social media, especially the mod plurk. We will no longer be answering questions there.

◉ Please remember to tag your posts!

◉ Minami Ikki and Lucciola is in the mirrors. Bernkastel has gone off with Haunt.

The remaining spots will be held until next week.

◉ If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please email us at kyriakosmods@gmail.com!
